這節(jié)翻譯課，閻老師重點講解：如何根據(jù)上下文的語境要求，鎖定精準表達。因此，這也要求我們進行必要的比較和邏輯思考，從而選定適合上下文意境的表達形式，提升譯文的質(zhì)量。

二、翻譯范例

“你好！你從哪里來？”廣西桂林陽朔月亮山腳下，一位農(nóng)村婦女用11種外語跟幾個外國游客熱情地打招呼。看到她用流利的德語對話，一位過路的年輕中國女孩驚叫起來：“月亮媽媽，太厲害了！我?guī)啄甏髮W(xué)白讀了。”
“Hi, Welcome, and Where are you from?”, which is the usual way a rural woman greets foreign tourists in 11 different languages at the foot of Moon Mountain in Yangshuo, Guilin, Guangxi. A Chinese college girl having seen this rural woman speaking fluently in German to tourists shrieked with excitement, “Hi, Mama Moon, Way to go, and my hat to you! It is a total waste of time staying through my college years!”

今年68歲的徐秀珍，是陽朔遠近聞名的導(dǎo)游，很多人可能不知道她的真實姓名，但一提到“月亮媽媽”，幾乎無人不知。她自己也無師自通了英語、法語、西班牙語、日語、韓語等11門外語，大部分可以進行簡單地交流。
Xu Xiuzhen is aged at 68 this year, working as a tourist guide but a far-famed lion. Though many people don’t know her real name, yet she is widely known at the mere mention of “Mama Moon”. She has picked up 11 foreign languages through self-study, most of which are used by her for daily simple conversations with foreign tourists, mainly including English, French, Spanish, Japanese and Korea, etc.

16年前，陽朔旅游漸漸興起，來到陽朔的外國游客日趨增多。在陪同游客上山過程中，她一路聽他們聊天，耳濡目染，她也開始會簡單的外語交流了。
16 years ago, Yangshuo tourism was slowly in hot rise, so many foreign tourists began to pour in. As she accompanied the foreign tourists to climb up the mountain, she chatted with them all along, so she was fortunate enough in having herself fully exposed to such a pure language environment, prompting her to speak simple languages for daily communication.

2002年的一天，徐秀珍陪兩名加拿大留學(xué)生上山，一名留學(xué)生突然中暑，肚子痛得難受。徐秀珍立刻給他涂了隨身攜帶的風油精，并為他刮痧。事后，留學(xué)生特別感激， 在徐秀珍的本子上用英語寫下了“Mama Moon”（月亮媽媽）的話語，說“你就是我們在月亮山的媽媽”。
One day in 2002, Xu Xiuzhen guided two Canadian students up to the peak of the mountain, one of whom happened to suffer sunstroke, feeling a great pain in the stomach. Xu gave him the immediate rescue by applying the essential balm to the young guy and also offering him the skin scraping therapy. Soon afterwards, the young man felt much better and was so excited and thankful that he wrote such English words on her notebook, “Mama Moon”, and also said emotionally, “you are my Mama at the foot of Moon Mountain.”

徐秀珍說，自己學(xué)習(xí)外語是日積月累的結(jié)果，她從來沒有接觸過書本，都是在跟外國游客的頻繁接觸交流中學(xué)會的。由于年紀比較大，剛開始她也覺得很難，找不到什么方法，就是靠著一份堅持，不斷地跟外國游客交流，口語變得越來越好。
Xu Xiuzhen says, “I pick up English day by day and have never read any English books. I try to learn from foreign tourists in our daily communication. I was getting on in years and it was a hard nut to crack for me at the very beginning as I could not find the proper way for good going. So I kept at it and forced myself to talk with foreign tourists, which goes a long way towards my making it, and that’s it! ”

“現(xiàn)在陽朔的游客越來越多了，我的同行中有很多也漸漸掌握了外語，但會說11門外語的只有我一個，”徐秀珍自豪地說道。
“Now foreign tourists are swarming into Yangshuo. Many of the local tourist guides can slowly speak foreign languages, but it is none other than me who can speak 11 foreign languages,” says Xu Xiuzhen proudly.
