說真的，你的房子鬧鬼嗎？

You’re lying in bed at night, about to fall asleep, when you swear you hear creaking on the steps. Alert, you keep listening, until it sounds like a door is being opened. You go investigate and notice a light is on that you knew had been off and goose bumps rise on your arm as a chill cools the air. Before you know it, you are camped out in the closet with a butcher’s knife, ready to fend off any supernatural attacks and asking yourself - is my house haunted?

Unexplained noises can be cause by anything as simple as a tree scratching against your window to the wind. Leaky pipes often make moaning sounds, and radiators, especially old ones, will clang and bang. Animals, pets or unexpected rodents, may be the cause of something falling off a shelf. And, when a house is settling, your floor boards will creak eerily.
出現(xiàn)不明響聲的原因很簡單，可能是刮風(fēng)時，樹枝刮擦窗戶發(fā)出的聲音；也可能是漏水的水管發(fā)出的悶響聲；老舊的暖氣片也會發(fā)出咣當(dāng)聲。動物、寵物、甚至是老鼠也有可能使書架上的東西掉下來發(fā)出聲響。家中的地板也有可能發(fā)出詭異的吱嘎聲。

Don't get scared if you see a door half open that you are positive you closed. Many doors have faulty or misaligned hinges, making them swing open or closed seemingly on their own. Drafts can also make a door slam closed unexpectedly.

Did you really turn that light off? Sometimes forgetfulness is the answer. But, if your lights are flickering, faulty wires or a burnt out light bulb is most often going to be the answer. Loose wires, especially in the breaker box, can make a light turn on spontaneously.
你確定關(guān)燈了？很多時候原本該關(guān)上的燈還亮著是因為你忘了關(guān)燈。但是，如果你的燈忽明忽暗，則很有可能是燈泡燒壞了或者是電線有問題。開關(guān)箱里的電線常會松動，這就會導(dǎo)致電燈自己亮了。

You lost your keys, only to have them reappear in a spot you swear you'd checked. Before thinking a ghost is playing tricks, acknowledge that you might have forgotten to check that spot. But, if you're sure, animals may be responsible for disappearing items (especially small ones), or a family member could have moved something without you realizing it.

Shadows can be especially scary, but before running for cover, make sure the shadow hasn't been cause by a passing car or a streetlight casting shadows of trees through the window. If you have dolls and toys lying around, a misplaced one might be responsible for that spooky human like shadow on the wall.
陰影通常都很嚇人?？吹疥幱?，先不要急著跑去拿被子蒙頭，檢查一下這陰影是不是路上開過去的車子造成的，或者是路燈把樹的影子折射到了窗子上。如果你有玩具娃娃散落在地上，看看是不是這些玩具投射到墻上形成的人影。

A cold spot could easily be caused by the slightest gap in insulation between windows or door frames. Even closed windows can let drafts through if not 100% air tight, and remember that hot air rises, so a temperature drop when you walk down the stairs is normal.

If you see white spots when you take a photo, it probably isn't a spirit. When there is dust on the lens of your camera, it will cause spots, especially if you used a flash. In very sunny locations, or places with many reflective surfaces, you may also get spots from lens flares.
