上海世博會全球青年創(chuàng)新之旅項目由2000年德國漢諾威世博會YMCA青年組織“玻璃鯨魚館”設(shè)計運營團隊全程策劃創(chuàng)意，以“展示全球頂尖創(chuàng)新科技，暢游未來新生活”為主題，世博前期通過全球范圍的創(chuàng)新征集和創(chuàng)新測試來邀請大量的青年人參與，并在世博結(jié)束后通過創(chuàng)新數(shù)據(jù)庫和青年創(chuàng)新俱樂部的平臺來進一步發(fā)展支持中國創(chuàng)新。

But how can we say this word freely without the limits of distance or technology obstacle?

Maybe you can find the answer from some innovative youths at the World Expo.

"This is a 'flying network,' which means that we can attach electric chips to doves. So no matter whether they are in the desert, ocean or mountains, these doves can fly to anywhere and take these chips with them, bringing a radio signal to people in these places and keep them communicating with the outside world."

The Global Youth Innovation Tour is an interactive exhibition concerned with transport, communication, energy resources, environmental protection, health, construction and future life.

Kong Juanzhen, one of the organizers of the demonstration, explains how all the ideas behind each devices have been collected from the young generation world wide.

"The young generation are full of new ideas and creative thinking. If realized, their ideas may bring more convenience to our life. Through our demonstrations, we want all the world to see what the younger generation is thinking right now."

Kong explained that the idea for the collection began in 2007, since when, over 10 thousand ideas have been put forward, and about 100 have been selected as being innovative and practical.

A folding LED screen, biodegradable clothes and a 3D mobile phone, all these interesting devices are popular among visitors.

Ling Qiuqun is a college students from Guangdong.

"I think the most impressive item is the segway car which only has two wheels. I like it."

While youngsters are focusing on eye-catching tools, most of the older visitors are attracted by useful home appliances.

Mrs Li is a visitor from Hubei province. She is interested in a seemingly normal mirror which can also be a TV set screen.

"I like that mirror, with that I can watch TV programs while washing my face in the bathroom. I've never seen such interesting things before, and the demonstration shows us a hope that the younger generation will create a better future."

According to Kong Juanzhen, the organizer of the demonstration, all the exhibits will be indexed in a database of innovation after the Expo, which is expected to boost the use of these novel products among Chinese youths.
