The Lying Game has been cancelled, according to one of its stars.

Alexandra Chandro released a message on Instagram claiming that the ABC Family drama will not return for a third season.

"To our awesome Lying Game fans, thank you for these two amazing seasons," wrote the actress - who played the dual role of twins Sutton Mercer and Emma Becker.

"Unfortunately, ABC Family has decided not to bring us back for a third season. We so wanted to do 10 more for you guys!"

ABC Family is yet to release a statement confirming The Lying Game's cancellation.
