1. Have faith in

說到“信心”，大家都知道confidence和confident，也知道“對(duì)……有信心”是have confidence in … 和 be confident of …，faith 也有“信任、信心”的意思，have faith in 就是“信任……，對(duì)……有信心”了，比如：

He has faith in my ability. 他對(duì)我的能力有信心。
I have faith in you; I am sure you will do well. 我相信你，我肯定你會(huì)做好的。

2. We're so out of here.

Out of here 大家都能明白是什么意思，加上一個(gè) so 就是表示一種強(qiáng)調(diào)的語(yǔ)氣。意在勸說某人一起走。這句話的意思就是 Let’s go。

3. Take a hike

Take a hike 除了表示"遠(yuǎn)足"，在俚語(yǔ)中還表示"To leave because one's presence is unwanted（讓某人）離開"，通常用于祈使句，例如：I've had enough of you--take a hike!

這個(gè)用法還寫作take a walk，例如：I don't need your advice, so take a walk.

此外take a walk 還表示"突然地離開并且沒有回來的可能"，例如：If he doesn't get his way, he takes a walk.

4. The trip is off.

Off 在這里的意思是“不再發(fā)生；取消的”，例如：The wedding is off. 婚禮取消了。

5. Make a fuss. 小題大做

這是個(gè)很有意思的用法，用來指人們"小題大做，大驚小怪"，例如：I'm sure he'll be here soon; please don't make a fuss.

如果要表示"針對(duì)……大驚小怪"，要與介詞 about / over 連用，例如：He's making a fuss about nothing. If you make a fuss over the small budget items, what will it be like when we discuss the big ones?

如果是make a fuss over someone，那就表示"對(duì)某人表現(xiàn)出過分的關(guān)心"，例如：Whenever they visit Grandma she makes a fuss over the children.

6. Wear one's heart on one's sleeve

意思是"to make one's intimate feelings or personal affairs known to all 張揚(yáng)，外露，坦率"，尤指感情上的外露，例如：She was not the kind who would wear her heart on her sleeve.

這個(gè)短語(yǔ)也寫作pin one's heart on one's sleeve。

7. On one's feet

這是個(gè)很容易理解的短語(yǔ)，on one's feet 的意思就是"站著"，例如：I'm tired--I've been on my feet all day. 它還可以表示"恢復(fù)健康"，常與back連用，如：I hope you get back on your feet very soon.

8. Sort out

這是一個(gè)動(dòng)詞短語(yǔ)，意為"evolve; develop; turn out 發(fā)展，進(jìn)展"，例如：We'll just have to wait and see how things sort out.
在這個(gè)片段中，sort out 意為"to put in order; clarify 使有秩序，澄清，闡明"，例如：After I sort things out here, I'll be able to concentrate on your problem.

9. Keep to oneself

這個(gè)短語(yǔ)的意思是"Refrain from revealing, to hold (something) as secret or confidential 不外露，保守秘密"，例如：He promised to keep the news to himself.

此外，keep to oneself 還表示"獨(dú)處，不交際"，例如：She kept to herself all morning.
