今年愛丁堡邊緣藝術(shù)節(jié)的門票預(yù)售工作已經(jīng)開始，目前的數(shù)據(jù)表明，今年的門票銷售數(shù)量已經(jīng)比2007年同期增長了20%。?

愛丁堡邊緣藝術(shù)節(jié)從8月7日一直持續(xù)到8月31日。節(jié)日期間，在遍布愛丁堡的265個不同場館，上演2098場不同的演出，演出總量達(dá)到34,265場。一年一度的第63屆愛丁堡邊緣藝術(shù)節(jié)，吸引了來自世界60多個國家的不同演出團(tuán)體，包括喜劇、音樂、戲劇，音樂劇，歌劇和舞蹈等不同藝術(shù)門類。其中不乏明星大腕，如Clive James, Julian Clary, Christopher Biggins及板球傳奇人物Henry Blofeld。

目前，預(yù)售的門票單數(shù)近40萬張。2007年的邊緣藝術(shù)節(jié)共售出了創(chuàng)記錄的170萬張門票。主辦方希望今年的票房可以趕上并超過2007年的佳績。

關(guān)于愛丁堡藝術(shù)節(jié)戲劇展演:

英國文化協(xié)會(British Council) 每兩年借愛丁堡邊緣藝術(shù)節(jié)舉辦之機(jī)推出“愛丁堡藝術(shù)節(jié)優(yōu)秀戲劇節(jié)目展演”活動，精心選擇“戲劇版塊”中的20-30部內(nèi)容、風(fēng)格各異并具有國際巡演能力的劇目，為參加者提供免費門票，并安排他們與來自英國的優(yōu)秀戲劇團(tuán)體、全球的戲劇推廣者和英國文化協(xié)會的工作人員進(jìn)行廣泛而深入的交流和討論。

今年是“愛丁堡藝術(shù)節(jié)優(yōu)秀戲劇節(jié)目展演”的第11屆，英國文化協(xié)會挑選了20部英國最新戲劇作品，內(nèi)容形式非常豐富多元，包括“新人新作”、“現(xiàn)場藝術(shù)”、“肢體劇”、“視覺戲劇”(Visual Theatre)，戶外演出及裝置作品等。

Ticket sales up as Fringe begins.

Advanced ticket sales for this year's Edinburgh Fringe are up more than 20% on 2007 at 395,000, figures show.

The Fringe, which runs until 31 August, includes 34,265 performances of 2,098 shows in 265 venues.

Latest figures show 395,000 tickets have been sold before the event begins compared with about 320,000 two years ago. By the end of the 2007 Fringe, a record 1.7 million tickets had been sold. Organisers hope on the door ticket sales throughout the festival can take this year beyond that figure.

The programme for the 63rd Edinburgh Festival Fringe features almost 19,000 performers, with shows from 60 countries including comedy, music, theatre, musicals, opera and dance. It runs from 7-31 August and includes famous names such as Clive James, Julian Clary, Christopher Biggins and cricketing legend Henry Blofeld.
