一、基本用法：

1.形容詞比較級＋than：

??Jack is taller than Tom.

名詞+than：

??Lucy spent more money on books than her sister.

3.不定冠詞/零冠詞+形容詞比較級+名詞+than：

??Tom is a more efficient worker than Jack.

＋比較級＋of詞組：

??Lucy is the taller of the two girls.（兩個中較……的一個）

5.比較級形式表達(dá)最高級含義：比較級＋than any other+單數(shù)名詞：（比其他任何……都……）?

? Lucy is taller than any other girl in her class.?露西比班上任何一個女孩都高。（即露西是班上最高的女生。）

二、特殊用法：

and more...（越來越……）

??Lucy becomes more and more beautiful.

..., the...（越……就越……）

??The harder we work, the more progress we will make.

3.比較級前可加much,a lot, far, even, still, a little, no, any等表示程度的詞來修飾。??????

? The job is far more difficult than before.

4. more和less用作代詞，與某些可等級名詞搭配：

??He is more/ less of a sportsman than his best friend.

??=He is more/ less sportsmanlike than his best friend.

5.表示倍數(shù)的比較級用法：

??倍數(shù)+ the + size / length / depth /height +of

?=倍數(shù)+ as +形容詞原級+ as

?=倍數(shù)+比較級+than

??The new building is three times the height of the old one. （這座新樓是舊樓的三倍高。）

?=The new building is three times as high as the old one.
