The White “Winterhalter” dress appears in the last act in Scene 1. In this act, Elisabeth, constrained by royal?etiquette?and Sophie’s control, finally decides to use her love and beauty as her weapon, and helps her husband to fight for freedom and flight against Sophie.

一襲長(zhǎng)裙的伊麗莎白，用最堅(jiān)定的聲音宣誓了自己的人生信條：我只屬于我自己。

Archduchess Sophie 索菲皇太后

Archduchess Sophie makes her appearance with this dress in Scene 1/ Act III. At that time, Sophie has a great impact on the Emperor’s political decisions. Elisabeth has not yet married into the royal family, while Sophie is considered the real master of the palace.
索菲皇太后身穿此件長(zhǎng)裙在第一幕第三場(chǎng)中亮相，此時(shí)的皇太后對(duì)皇帝在政治決斷上的影響力十分巨大，伊麗莎白還沒(méi)有嫁入皇室，索菲被認(rèn)為是皇宮的真正主人。

However, when Elisabeth gets into to the palace, her breaking the royal rules offends Sophie. The irreconcilable clash between them brings the show to the first high point.
然而在伊麗莎白入宮后，索菲難以忍受她對(duì)宮廷禮教的無(wú)視，兩人之間難以協(xié)調(diào)的矛盾使劇情走向了第一個(gè)高潮。

One secret of the costumes:

There are kind of ivy leaves on every costume “Schmuckwunden” (expect of the deaths costume). They symbolize the breakup of the monarchy.

服裝中暗藏的玄機(jī)：

除了死神的服裝以外，絕大多數(shù)服裝上都裝飾有形似“傷口”的常春藤葉，設(shè)計(jì)師運(yùn)用這個(gè)象征寓意君主立憲制的最終解體。

Death 死神（伊麗莎白追求者）

Death in the musical is a mysterious and charismatic character. His long blonde hair and tailcoat illustrates his charming and sexy characteristic.
劇中“死神”這一角色充滿(mǎn)了神秘與魅惑感，他金色長(zhǎng)發(fā)及肩，身穿燕尾服，迷人又性感。

The image of Death is totally different from any other character in the musical. Therefore, the designer used fabrics that were very different at that time, making the costume not too historical. With the crystalon he got a new look.
因死神在形象上與其他人物完全不同，設(shè)計(jì)師選用了在那個(gè)時(shí)代十分少見(jiàn)的面料，使服裝沒(méi)有太厚重的歷史感。奧鉆的使用成為了點(diǎn)睛之筆。

Archduke Rudolph 魯?shù)婪蚧侍樱ㄒ聋惿椎膬鹤?，皇位繼承人）

Archduke Rudolph is smart and warmhearted, but he is also sensitive and feels insecure about his future. He inherits his mother’s pursuit of independence and freedom, but never wins the approval of his father.
皇太子魯?shù)婪蚵斆?、熱情，?dān)內(nèi)心敏感、缺乏安全感。他繼承了母親對(duì)獨(dú)立自主的追求，卻始終得不到父親的認(rèn)可。

Young Rudolph’s jacket not only embodies the elegant presence of a crown prince, but also shows the innocent characteristic of a young boy.
劇中童年魯?shù)婪蛏碇@戎裝登場(chǎng)，既有未來(lái)一國(guó)之君的風(fēng)采，又展現(xiàn)了小皇子的天真浪漫。

Elisabeth 伊麗莎白

Elisabeth wears this costume at the beginning of the show. At that time, she is still called Sisi by her family; she meets Death for the first time; she has no idea at all that she will become Empress Elisabeth of Australia.
伊麗莎白身穿此套長(zhǎng)裙在第一幕前兩場(chǎng)中登場(chǎng)。在那時(shí)，爸爸寵溺的喊他“茜茜”，她初遇神秘的死神，她還不知道自己即將成為伊麗莎白皇后。

The lime-green dress is not the fanciest costume in the show, but it witnesses young Sisi’s joyful life before she is devoted to the royal marriage.
石灰綠長(zhǎng)裙雖不華麗，卻見(jiàn)證了年輕的伊麗莎白在嫁入皇室前自由愉快的生活。
