Bellick grew from a man we loved to hate in the first season to a man we've come to truly respect and adore. Bellick's death was hard on everyone involved, including the audience. He died a hero – taking one for the team; and because of him the gang was able to continue on with their plan to bring down The Company. Bellick died helping Lincoln and Sucre in the water ducts, where he had enclosed himself so Lincoln could finish what he needed to do but in doing so, he drowned. Bellick died an honorable death and he truly was a hero.?
