It's the triumphant return to television for one big-name television star, and just another television series for one of the industry's busiest boys. Former Friends friend Matthew Perry will star and take co-creator/exec producer credit on “The End of Steve” with veteran producer Peter Tolan. Perry will play an afternoon talkshow host on local TV with a bit of an ego problem who is genial onscreen but embittered when the camera’s off. Fast-talking, foul-mouthed, and an overall nutter, Perry's character is stranded in his position as the TV talk-show host in Rochester, New York. Series would depict him trying to find professional and personal happiness (including love with the station’s morning show host).
