6月9日上午，原鐵道部部長(zhǎng)、黨組書(shū)記劉志軍涉嫌受賄、濫用職權(quán)一案在北京市第二中級(jí)人民法院開(kāi)庭審理。檢方指控劉志軍涉嫌受賄罪、濫用職權(quán)罪，并認(rèn)為其涉案金額為人民幣6460.54萬(wàn)元。劉志軍對(duì)兩項(xiàng)罪名表示無(wú)異議，但其兩位辯護(hù)律師對(duì)涉案金額中的4900萬(wàn)元提出質(zhì)疑，認(rèn)為不屬于受賄。整個(gè)庭審過(guò)程中，劉志軍一直都是站著受審。其辯護(hù)律師婁秋琴稱，劉志軍因?yàn)樯眢w原因不愿意坐著接受審判。劉志軍在庭審中作了近10分鐘的辯護(hù)陳述，陳述中幾度流淚。法庭最后宣布此案將擇期宣判。

Former railways minister, Liu Zhijun, has stood trial in the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People’s Court. Liu was charged with corruption and abuse of power in April.

Liu is also the former Party chief of the now defunct Railways Ministry. He was dismissed from his post for serious disciplinary violations in February 2011. He was stripped of his Party membership last year when the CPC Central Commission for Disciplinary Inspection found him guilty of corruption.
