3月5日-3月10日，黃浦江水域開始陸續(xù)打撈死豬，撈出死豬的數(shù)字直線上升。從最初的幾十頭，發(fā)展到幾千頭。?

3月11日，上海市政府新聞辦公室稱初步確定死豬主要來自浙江嘉興地區(qū)。?

3月11日，農(nóng)業(yè)部稱當?shù)匾汛驌频乃镭i全部進行了無害化的處理；并稱當?shù)匚窗l(fā)生大規(guī)模的動物疫情。?

3月12日，浙江省農(nóng)業(yè)廳和嘉興市稱，嘉興并未發(fā)生生豬疫情，目前正在協(xié)助上海調(diào)查死豬來源，并組織力量加緊清理河道。嘉興市畜牧局和環(huán)保局均承認存在養(yǎng)殖戶隨意丟棄死豬的現(xiàn)象。?
