Linda, speaking.
Hi, Linda. It's me, Roger. ---1--- He's in Madrid or something.
So did you speak to the window people?
---2---
Well, I bet when you get the architect, he'll say it's their fault.
---3--- What are our options?
---4---
16 weeks is ages. We'll go way behind schedule. The client would never agree.
---5---
Good idea. And what you save in time means it'll be cheaper overall. Look, before I give you the go-ahead on that, let me check with the architects to make sure there aren't any structural issues to consider...
Thanks for your message. I would have rung you straight back if I'd managed to get hold of the architect.
Yes, and as you predicted they said if they'd received the right specifications from the plans in the first place, there wouldn't have been a problem.
Anyway, we can worry about whose fault it is later. The main thing is to find a solution. And quickly.
Well, if we send the windows back to the manufacturer, it'll take about 16 weeks to have them redone. That'll include the architect doing new designs.
Yes, I know, so my other idea is to make the space for the windows wider by cutting into the area around the window. If we did this, it'd have the advantage of using our people already on site so I wouldn't be paying them for doing nothing. It's a bit expensive but I think it'd take about two weeks.
