C919 Rises to Challenge
國(guó)產(chǎn)C919崛起,挑戰(zhàn)波音空客

At the Zhuhai Airshow, which ended on November 20, state-backed Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (中國(guó)商用飛機(jī)有限公司,COMAC) said it won 50 orders for the planned 168-seat C919 plane (C919大型客機(jī)), bringing the total to 380.
于11月20日結(jié)束的珠海航空秀上,由國(guó)家支持的中國(guó)商用飛機(jī)有限公司(簡(jiǎn)稱(chēng)COMAC)稱(chēng)其預(yù)計(jì)擁有168個(gè)座位的C919大型客機(jī)獲得50架訂單,至此其訂單總數(shù)達(dá)到380架。

China’s rapid economic growth is creating massive demand for planes as growing incomes boost air travel, with U.S. aviation giant Boeing (波音公司) estimating the country will need 5,260 commercial jets over the next 20 years.
中國(guó)迅速的經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)為客機(jī)創(chuàng)造了極大的需求,因?yàn)椴粩嘣鲩L(zhǎng)的國(guó)民收入促進(jìn)了航空旅行。美國(guó)波音公司估計(jì),在未來(lái)的20年,中國(guó)將需要5260架商用噴氣式飛機(jī)。

But China wants a piece of that giant market as it tries to develop its own technology and then look overseas for sales. The C919 plane is expected to compete with Boeing’s 737 and the A320 of Airbus (空中客車(chē)), but catching up might take at least a decade, industry analysts said.
中國(guó)想要在這巨大的市場(chǎng)中分一杯羹,而且還在嘗試研發(fā)自己的技術(shù),拓展海外的銷(xiāo)售量。C919客機(jī)有望成為波音737和空客A320的有力競(jìng)爭(zhēng)者,但是業(yè)內(nèi)專(zhuān)家預(yù)計(jì)要趕上波音737和空客A320可能最少需要10年時(shí)間。

“The goal of the Chinese is to be in a few years at the same level as different parties around the world—of course Airbus and Boeing,” said David Lopez Grange, general director of Spanish aeronautics (航空學(xué)) firm Aritex. “Maybe it’s not a long time—10 years. China will be a very important player in the world in a few years,” he said.
西班牙航空公司Aritex總裁大衛(wèi)·洛佩茲·格蘭其表示,中國(guó)人的目標(biāo)是在幾年內(nèi),在世界各地的航空公司,尤其是空客和播音公司并駕齊驅(qū)。他說(shuō):“這個(gè)目標(biāo)或許不久后,可能10年,就能實(shí)現(xiàn)。”中國(guó)將在幾年中成為世界航空事業(yè)的一個(gè)重要的參與者。

Currently, C919 still relies on foreign technology for key parts of the project, including the engines, to be supplied by French-American venture CFM International (CFM國(guó)際). The project provides a chance for China to obtain certain technology through cooperation with foreign countries, so as to advance its own aviation manufacturing.
目前,C919工程的主要部分仍依賴于國(guó)外技術(shù),其中包括由法國(guó)和美國(guó)合資的CFM國(guó)際提供的引擎。通過(guò)與國(guó)外公司合作工程,為中國(guó)提供了一個(gè)可以掌握一定技術(shù)的機(jī)會(huì),以推進(jìn)自身航空制造業(yè)。

As COMAC develops the C919, it is also building a smaller regional jet which seats 78 to 90 passengers. The company said earlier this month that it would assemble 50 regional jets annually by 2014, and is targeting annual production of 150 of the larger C919 planes by 2020.
當(dāng)中國(guó)商用飛機(jī)有限公司開(kāi)發(fā)C919的同時(shí)也正在建造一架較小的可容納78至90名乘客的支線噴氣飛機(jī)。本月初公司稱(chēng),到2014年,每年將組裝50架支線噴氣飛機(jī),而到2020年的目標(biāo)是每年生產(chǎn)150架更大的C919飛機(jī)。

Some potential buyers are waiting, including Chinese budget carrier Spring Airlines (春秋航空), which is a devoted customer of the Airbus A320. The latest orders were booked by two Chinese carriers: Joy Air (幸福航空) and two-year-old Hebei Airlines (河北航空). A foreign company, GE Capital Aviation Services (通用電氣資本航空服務(wù)), also ordered 10.
一些潛在買(mǎi)家,包括空客A320的忠實(shí)客戶中國(guó)廉價(jià)航空公司春秋航空都在等待。而最先下單的是中國(guó)的兩家航空公司:幸福航空和已開(kāi)業(yè)2年的河北航空。一家國(guó)外公司,通用電氣資本航空服務(wù)也訂了10架飛機(jī)。
