This year marks the 70th anniversary of? the Lugouqiao Incident. On the night of July 7, 1937, the Lugouqiao Incident raised the curtain on the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.? From that moment on, the Japanese militarists started an all-round offensive against China, and the Anti-Japanese War was unfolded on a national scale. Only victory on the Chinese theater could contain the Axis alliance of? Germany, Italy and Japan. From then on, China began to get military assistance from the outside world.

During World War II, China fought and pinned down more than 70 percent of the Japanese forces on its soil and made great national sacrifices to ease the enemy pressure on the European and Pacific war theaters, thus rendering indelible contributions to the final victory of the worldwide anti-fascist war.
