Young Chinese people returning from studying overseas and lacking in work experience are likely to earn a starting salary similar to those of graduates from domestic universities, because of white-hot competition in the job market, a recent survey showed.
近期一份調(diào)查表明，由于市場競爭的日趨白熱化，中國具有海外留學經(jīng)歷但是卻沒有工作經(jīng)歷的年輕海歸派和本地大學畢業(yè)生的薪金相差無幾。

That's according to a report released on Tuesday by the Education International Cooperation Group (EICG), a consultative agency for study overseas.
這份報告在本周二由國際教育集團發(fā)布，國際教育集團是一家專門研究留學市場的咨詢機構(gòu)。

The report shows that graduates returning from foreign study earn an average starting salary of 3,000 yuan ($472) a month. And more than 70 percent of them return to China following graduation.
這份報告指出海歸畢業(yè)生的平均收入在3000元，折合473美元每月。而且有超過70%的中國留學生畢業(yè)后返回中國。

As many as 7,000 returnees responded to the survey. Only 18 percent of them are earning more than 10,000 yuan a month, a 50 percent decline compared with 2010, according to the report.
總共有7000名海歸參加了這次調(diào)查。根據(jù)報告，只有18%的報告說他們的月薪超過1萬元，這個比例比2010年的高薪比例下降了50%。

Returnees who lack work experience suffer the most. About half of them do not have work experience overseas or in China, and most of them are unable to earn more than 5,000 yuan a month, the report said.
在這個過程當中，海歸派中那些沒有工作經(jīng)驗的最為痛苦，大約有一半的海歸留學生沒有國內(nèi)或者海外的工作經(jīng)歷，他們當中的大部分起始月薪無法超過5000。

The EICG report shows that 66 percent of respondents said their overseas education is likely to be positive to their career.
來自于國際教育集團的報告還指出。依然有66%的留學認為自己的海外留學經(jīng)歷會給自己的職業(yè)生涯帶來正面影響。

"The experience of studying overseas is likely to give me more than just my current salary," said Xu Zhi, who works for an advertising agency in Guangzhou.?She said the experience of studying in the US last year will definitely help her prospects, although currently her pretax salary is about 3,000 yuan a month.
調(diào)查參與者徐芝現(xiàn)在供職于廣州的一家廣告代理商，她表示“留學經(jīng)歷給我?guī)淼臇|西并不僅僅是當前的工資這么簡單”，去年在美國的留學經(jīng)驗擴充了她自己的眼界，雖然當前她的稅前工資只有3000元左右。

The advantage of studying overseas will gradually become more apparent as the returnees gain more work experience, said manager of EIGG, pointing out that they have an international perspective and the ability to communicate across different cultures.
國際教育集團的經(jīng)理表示海外留學生的優(yōu)勢將會伴隨著海歸派獲得更多的工作經(jīng)驗而逐步體現(xiàn)出來，他們具有國際的視角，同時還具備跨文化溝通的能力。

Private enterprise is the main sector employing returnees this year. The EICG report shows that 46 percent of respondents work in private enterprises, while 32 percent work for foreign-owned enterprises or joint ventures.
國際教育集團的報告指出，私營公司是海歸派的主要雇主，報告中46%的參與者在私營公司上班，32%在外資私營和合資公司上班。

The report also shows that large cities such as Beijing and Shanghai are the most attractive destinations for those returning from abroad.
報告還是指出北京和上海這一類大城市是對于海歸派最為有吸引力的城市。
