Game of Thrones continues to fill out its cast for Season 2.

British actor Stephen Dillane, who portrayed Thomas Jefferson in HBO's John Adams, will play Stannis, Entertainment Weekly reports. Stannis is the stern, no-nonsense brother of the former hard-partying King Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy).
《娛樂周刊》報道，曾在美國HBO電視網(wǎng)美劇《約翰·亞當斯》中扮演托馬斯·杰斐遜的英國男演員Stephen Dillane將會在《權(quán)利的游戲》第二季中扮演Stannis。Stannis其實是在第一季中死掉的Robert國王的兄弟。

King Robert was killed by a wild boar while hunting in the sixth episode of Season 1 — a loss that eventually led to the War of the Five Kings. Stannis believes he is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne now that his older brother is out of the picture.
在《權(quán)利的游戲：冰與火之歌》第一季第六集中，Robert國王在打獵的時候被野豬所傷最后死亡——他的死也是五大國開戰(zhàn)的導(dǎo)火線。Stannis認為哥哥Robert過往死了，自己就是鐵王座的合法繼承人。

In the books, Stannis is counseled by a powerful woman during his quest to claim the throne. This powerful woman, a mysterious sorceress named Melisandre, will be played by Dutch actress Carice van Houten (Valkyrie).
