近幾年所有英倫情節(jié)的人們似乎一直都在期盼一只或者一些強勁而年輕英倫樂隊的出現(xiàn)，04年也不例外，所以所有人的眼球和耳朵也幾乎都被keane奪去，這無可厚非，因為他們的成績有目共睹，包括我也是幾乎被他們感動了一整年。但是就在年底的時候，我聽到的這只叫做Thirteen Senses的樂隊霸占了我心目中英倫新團的年度最佳位置。

Thirteen Senses樂隊成員四人都來自英格蘭的Cornwall, Will South是樂隊的主唱，同時負責部分吉他和鍵盤的演奏，Tom Welham為樂隊的吉他手，另外兩名是bass手Adam Wilson和鼓手Brendon James。四人在學院結識后組建了Thirteen Senses,初期主要是在英格蘭的西南部做一些小的演出。2003年12月，Thirteen Senses進駐倫敦，開始了真正意義的樂隊生涯。2004年的3月樂隊發(fā)表他們的首張單曲《Thru The Glass》(05年的一月這張單曲再版發(fā)行)。之后第二張單曲唱片《Do No Wrong》的發(fā)表可以算作成功的后繼，但第三張單曲唱片《Into The Fire》的發(fā)表才算是為Thirteen Senses的發(fā)展徹底鋪平了道路?！禝nto The Fire》也成為Thirteen Senses目前最紅的熱門單曲。緊隨其后正式發(fā)表的專輯《The Invitation》雖然已有大部分作品提前在單曲唱片中曝光，使專輯缺乏神秘感，但在12首曲目中，除了提到的《Into The Fire》一氣呵成以及《Thru The Glass》跌宕起伏外，《Gone》里的假聲漂亮而經(jīng)典，《The Salt Wound Routine》中的鋼琴理性而認真。
　　
Thirteen Senses溫暖剔透的吉他很容易讓人想起Travis或Coldplay這樣的英倫吉他流行團，或者也很容易讓人拿Keane 與之比較，音樂性上，同為配器簡單旋律動聽的英倫新團，Keane的歌唱本領更好一些，旋律也比Thirteen略高一籌，但我以為，聽慣的英倫音樂的人似乎對吉他的興趣要遠比鋼琴多，其實這也很好理解，就好比作得一手極品川菜的廚子卻用不上正宗的上等辣椒一樣，再怎么努力也總是無法滿足一部分人的審美。Thirteen Senses能夠做到也恰好是滿足這一部分人。如果非要讓Thirteen Senses跟keane扯上些關系的話，那么在跟Keane處于同期內(nèi)的樂隊就該算是Thirteen Senses最大的不幸了，他們的音樂在某些取向上實在太Keane了。而兩者唯一的共同點應該就是長得都不如英倫前輩們尖吧。 Thirteen Senses在吉他方面的表現(xiàn)仍舊會讓人覺得他們是一支不折不扣的吉他樂隊。雖說他們的歌曲不那么流行，但絕對悅耳清新，也因少有過于易記的旋律反而會令人在聽覺上不容易疲勞。相比Keane的過耳不忘來，Thirteen Senses更耐聽。主唱的歌聲會令我想起那隊不太有建樹的geneva來，英國腔調在indie樂迷來說，無論唱成什么樣都會覺得親切，更何況Thirteen Senses的歌聲那么單純清澈。音樂中松弛的節(jié)奏，悠揚美艷的吉他，絕對不容indie樂迷錯過。Thirteen Senses的歌聲并不象Keane那般驚艷，反而會令人平均地注意到整體樂隊的表現(xiàn)，每次聆聽都會被新的細節(jié)感動。要說有些作品也不失波瀾壯闊的感覺，只是沒有表現(xiàn)的那么囂張，而是更多內(nèi)斂。順便說一句，Thirteen Senses的主唱也是一張娃娃臉，太多與Keane的相似之處，難免我的朋友會那么介紹他們了。他們的不同，自有聽者去品味。?
