Offend = Of-（向前，朝向）+ -fend（攻擊，打擊），引申詞義為“進(jìn)攻，冒犯”。

常見表達(dá)有I didn’t mean to offend you我沒有冒犯你的意思，offend possible business partners冒犯潛在的商業(yè)伙伴，be offended by感到生氣/被冒犯。

客戶是上帝（Customer First），這一句在服務(wù)行業(yè)（service industry）表現(xiàn)的淋漓盡致，與客戶交流時一定要注意不能冒犯客戶（never offend customers），特別是一些禁忌詞，一旦說出口就會導(dǎo)致客戶不滿或投訴，更嚴(yán)重的可能會導(dǎo)致合作破裂等后果。
