今天我們聊聊英語中的介詞，介詞往往都是英語中拼寫最簡單的，但是用法卻很復雜。而about（關于）就是這樣一個本身沒有確定的含義，必須結合上下文才會發(fā)生作用的虛詞。

例句：

His new book is about?the situation in?Bosnia.

他的新書是關于波斯尼亞局勢的。

Mr.?Smith?loves to talk about?what's?wrong with the government.

史密斯先生愛談政府有什么不對。

通常about后面會跟名詞或作為名詞用的詞組，但是美語中的用法卻有一些不同。

例句：

Midterm?elections are all about?voter?turnout.

中期選舉完全是“關于”選民出動。

其實這句話的意思就是：The key to winning midterm elections is voter turnout.(中期選舉取勝的關鍵在發(fā)動選民“出來投票”。)。

Business travel?isn't?about?adventure -?it's about controlling your?temple and keeping?boredom?at bay.

出差旅行不是“關于”新奇經(jīng)驗--而是“關于”不發(fā)脾氣，避免煩悶。

這句話的意思其實就是：There's no adventure in business travel - you just have to control your temper and keep from getting bored.(出差旅行不是什么新奇經(jīng)驗--主要的是“機場遇到麻煩”別發(fā)火，“長途飛行”別感覺煩悶。)

The mouse is about money -?nothing more or less.

老鼠是不折不扣的“關于”錢。

其實也就是：Mickey Mouse is in business only to make money - that's all.(“米”老鼠做生意只是為了賺錢--別無其他。)
