在真實(shí)的口語(yǔ)交流中我們經(jīng)常會(huì)有一些不確定或者不了解的情況，這個(gè)時(shí)候如果辦法直接回答，就要使用模糊語(yǔ)來(lái)幫忙了。
1. I’m not sure.
我不確定
這是最常用的模糊回答，可以用在不知道，不確定的情況下。有時(shí)候，最簡(jiǎn)單的表達(dá)往往是最高效有力的表達(dá)。
A：Is the Dean in the office now?
院長(zhǎng)現(xiàn)在在辦公室嗎?
B：I'm not sure.
我不太清楚。
類似的表達(dá)還有I'm not certain.(我不太確定) I can't say for sure.(這個(gè)不好說(shuō))
2. It’s difficult to say.
很難說(shuō)
這句話除了可以表達(dá)不確定之外，也是委婉的表示不同意。有時(shí)候表達(dá)"我不同意",也不一定就只有"I disagree"那么直接。例如：
A：Does Kobe Bryant score the most points per game in the NBA?
科比是NBA場(chǎng)均得分最高的吧？
B：It's difficult to say, and I’d have to look into that.
這可不一定吧，我得查一下。
3. I wish I knew
我如果知道就好了
大家看到I wish 類似虛擬語(yǔ)氣的表達(dá)，可能會(huì)認(rèn)為是委婉的表達(dá)。但這句話請(qǐng)注意，最初似乎是非常禮貌的，但現(xiàn)在表達(dá)時(shí)多表示說(shuō)話人有點(diǎn)被激怒了。
A：Lucy, when will we get the results of the test?
露西，我們什么時(shí)候能知道考試的結(jié)果？
B：I wish I knew when. I could really do with some good news.
我如果知道什么時(shí)候就好了，真想聽到好消息。
4. It's something like that.
差不多吧!
使用這句話時(shí)帶有不耐煩的意味，表示說(shuō)話人不太想再進(jìn)行當(dāng)前的話題。
A：Is pasta your favorite dish?
是這個(gè)嗎?
B：Yeah, it's something like that.
嗯，差不多吧。
類似的表達(dá)我們還可以說(shuō)That's about it. /That'll do. /That's about right.
5. I’d have to think about that for a minute.
讓我考慮一下
不要以為這個(gè)表達(dá)意思是你思考一分鐘之后，就會(huì)有答案了，但其實(shí)不是這樣的。它通常指的是你不知道答案，或者你確實(shí)需要一些時(shí)間來(lái)思考得出一個(gè)答案。
A：What movie is that song from again?
再問(wèn)一下，這首歌是哪部電影里的？
B：Hmmm, I’d have to think about that for a minute. Sorry, perhaps you’d better ask Tom.
嗯..我想想，不好意思，你還是問(wèn)一下湯姆吧。
6. Kind of/sort of
有點(diǎn)吧
常常在英語(yǔ)電影中聽到這個(gè)片語(yǔ)：Kind of，有時(shí)也聽到 sort of，其實(shí)這兩個(gè)表達(dá)的意思差不多，就是表示“有那么一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)，但不是很強(qiáng)烈”。
A：Do you like noodles?
你喜歡吃面條嗎？
B：Kind of.
???????還好啦，也沒(méi)那么喜歡。
7. It could be.
可能是吧
聽到周圍有類似消息時(shí)，自己也覺(jué)得“可能會(huì)吧”時(shí)使用，也有道聽途說(shuō)的意味。
A：Have you heard? They are going to tear down the West Gate.
你聽說(shuō)了嗎？聽說(shuō)他們要把西門拆了。
B：It could be. But what are they going to build there?
有可能吧，但他們要在哪里建什么？
8. Someone told me
有人這么說(shuō)的
???????
???????不確定消息的真實(shí)性，用來(lái)表達(dá)有可能。
A：did you know they are going to let Cary go? 你知道他們要讓凱瑞走人嗎？
B：Yeah, someone told me. And I think he is too old for his job. 是的，有這個(gè)說(shuō)法，我也覺(jué)得他年紀(jì)太大不適合這個(gè)工作。
