eg. There is so much contradictory advice about this project that I become confused.

二. that也可以直接用來連接結果狀語從句。

eg. What have we done that you should be so angry with us? （我們做了什么使你這么生氣？）

三. 如果結果狀語從句的主語與主句的主語相同， 可用so as to取代該結果狀語從句。

eg.He was such a kind people that he phone for a taxi for the patient.

???? He was so kind as to phone for a taxi for the patient.

四. 在結果狀語從句主從句主語一致的情況下，可省去從句主語，從句謂語變非謂語。這時，如果從句是肯定句，那么so就要換為enough。如果從句是否定句，那么so就要換成too。

eg.He is so old that he can't go to school.= He is too old to go to school.

??? He is so old that he can go to school.= He is old enough to go to school alone.
