Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value.

那recycly和upcycly到底有什么區(qū)別？

我們知道，recycle是將材料完全分解，制成完全不一樣的物品，這其中當然也涉及到能源消耗啦。

相較而言，upcycle則是“using something in a new way without doing anything to reprocess the material it's made from（換一種方式使用這樣物品，而不對它進行任何原材料的改造）”。這樣是不是更加節(jié)省能源呢？

我們生活中upcycle的例子也很多，比如說：

Take an old shirt that someone won't wear just because they've dropped a tiny bit of balsamic vinegar on it, printing over the top of it and perhaps cutting into it to make it fit with current trends.
