怎樣才能使2010年世博會(huì)的交通變得更為順暢？此次世博采取“專(zhuān)線(xiàn)巴士”將數(shù)量龐大的長(zhǎng)三角客流轉(zhuǎn)載入市區(qū)，使其對(duì)上海的市內(nèi)交通影響降至最低。我們來(lái)看看“專(zhuān)線(xiàn)巴士”的英語(yǔ)該怎么說(shuō)。

我們來(lái)看下面這一句話(huà)：

Please take the airport shuttle bus when you leave the aircraft and it will take you directly to the arrival hall.

請(qǐng)您下飛機(jī)后乘坐機(jī)場(chǎng)專(zhuān)線(xiàn)車(chē)，它會(huì)直接送您到到達(dá)大廳。

從上例句我們可一看到，“專(zhuān)線(xiàn)巴士”的英語(yǔ)是“shuttle bus”。“shuttle”意為“a plane, bus, or train that makes regular short journeys between two palces”。因此，“shuttle bus”也可以稱(chēng)作“穿梭巴士，班車(chē)”，顧名思義就是指“定點(diǎn)穿梭往來(lái)兩處或者多個(gè)地方”，和“專(zhuān)線(xiàn)巴士”同義。

除此之外，“shuttle bus”還可以指“區(qū)間車(chē)”，表示“a train or bus travelling only part of its normal route”。

“專(zhuān)線(xiàn)”這個(gè)詞不僅會(huì)用在公交車(chē)上，在電話(huà)方面也常用到，比如我們常說(shuō)的“專(zhuān)線(xiàn)電話(huà)”，這時(shí)候就不能用“shuttle”了，我們用“special (telephone) line”，或者“private telephone”來(lái)表示。
