In the December issue of Vogue, the stunning series of images have been dubbed Dreaming a Dream by the photographer and feature the star studded cast - including Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman.

Directed by The King's Speech's Tom Hooper, the film follows Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, a French peasant and paroled prisoner seeking redemption.

The the actress survived on just two thin squares of dried oatmeal paste a day to loose another 15lbs during a two-week break in filming.

'I had to be obsessive about it - the idea was to look near death,' she said. 'Looking back on the whole experience - and I don't judge it in any way - it was definitely a little nuts.'
