Courteney Cox and David Arquette announced they had separated in October. In a new interview with Harper's Bazaar, Cox broke her silence and defended her estranged husband and his comments.

"I'm not saying there wasn't some crazy behavior, but if you know who David is, e, how honest he is, and how big his heart is," the 46-year-old actress tells the magazine.

The couple, who married in 1999 and have a six-year-old daughter together, separated last year. Soon after, Arquette publicly admitted to sleeping with another woman and entered rehab for alcohol abuse at the start of 2011. He left rehab after a month, and he and Cox remain separated.

In his interview with Winfrey last month, Arquette said it would be "ideal" for him and Cox to get back together. " I know that I'll be with her for my whole life," he said. "We have an amazing family together and we're really great parents together."

Cox said she doesn't think he'll be appearing on Howard Stern again anytime soon. Although she's unsure of what's next in their 11-year marriage, Cox says she still has feelings for Arquette.

"We loved each other so much, and I feel like we've been extremely successful at marriage. If it doesn't work out, I will have huge waves of pain about failing in that department. But right now I don't have that because I don't know what the future holds and I guess because I have strong feelings for him."

Cox and Arquette will share the screen in Scream 4, which hits theaters in April.
