SHOW TIME ONE

A: Where have you been - hunting?
你去哪里了—去打獵了嗎？
B: No, I've been fishing.
不，我去釣魚了。
A: How could you fish with that shotgun?
那怎么能用獵槍釣魚呢？
B: They were flying fish.
因?yàn)樗鼈兪秋w魚呀。
A: Were they biting today?
它們上鉤了嗎？
B: If they were, they were biting each other.
要是有的話，它們也是自相殘殺呀。

SHOW TIME TWO

A: My favorite film is in town tonight.
我最喜歡的那部影片要上映了。
B: Are you going to see it?
你會去看嗎？
A: Of course, it's a first-run film.
當(dāng)然咯，這可是一部首映片啊。
B: Really? I will go.
真的嗎？那我也去！
A: That's wonderful!
太棒了！

SHOW TIME THREE

A: We have lots of pop music CDs.
我們有好多的流行音樂CD。
B: So do we.
我們也有呀。
A: All our oldies are still on cassette, though.
但是，我們的老歌還全是卡帶的。
B: That's Ok. Some of our classical music is still on cassette.
那有什么，我們有些古典音樂還是老唱片呢。

一幅畫的故事

A: What are you doing?
你在干什么？
B: I'm painting a picture of a cow eating grass.
我在畫一幅牛吃草的畫。
A: Where is the grass?
草在哪??？
B: The cow ate it.
牛吃了。
A: Where is the cow?
那牛呢？
B: The cow left. Why should it hang around after all the grass is gone?
牛走了啊。草都吃完了，牛為什么還在那里晃悠?。?/div>
