先來看一段對話，自己猜猜這個短語是啥意思：

Tessa: I'm going to buy a new car today! My neighbor works for a car dealership and he said he could get me a good price.

Nick: Are you sure you can trust him?

Tessa: Absolutely! He's definitely on the up and up.

不難猜吧？看配圖也知道啦。這里的意思是be honest. 對某人誠實，可以說：be on the up and up with somebody.

I bought a used car yesterday, but I don't think the salesperson was on the up and up. He said it was the only car in its color and today I saw a dozen exactly like it!
