所謂零冠詞，即指不使用冠詞的情況：

1）在物質(zhì)名詞，抽象名詞前不用冠詞，如：

The desk is made of wood. ????????What is work? Work is struggle

2）專有名詞前通常不用定冠詞，如：

England， ??China ???Mary ????Lilei ??Mr.Green ?

3） 在星期、月份，季節(jié)，節(jié)日等名詞前，如：

We have four seasons- spring, summer, autumn and winter一年有四季：春夏秋冬

We often go to sea a film on Sunday. 我們經(jīng)常周日去看電影。

Tomorrow is National Day. 明天是國慶節(jié)。

4）名詞前有物主代詞，指示代詞，不定代詞，名詞所有格修飾時(this， my，that， those， these， her)，如：

this morning ?????my pen ????your watch ?????whose bike

5） 在球類運動、一日三餐、學(xué)科和語言的名詞前，如：

have breakfast ????play chess ?????play basketball

(注意：在樂器前必須加定冠詞 如彈鋼琴play the piano，play the violin)

6）在獨一無二的職位、頭銜、稱呼的名詞前，如：

Mr. Smith, head of the group, will plan for the whole trip.

小組的組長史密斯先生，將全面制定這次旅行的計劃。

Doctor, I am not feeling myself today.大夫，我今天感覺不太舒服。

7）man泛指人類時，前面不加冠詞，如：

Man can save the earth, man can destroy the earth.

人類能夠拯救地球，人類也能夠毀滅地球。

Man can’t live without air and water.沒有空氣和水，人類不能生存。

8）名詞在介詞后不是抽象概念時，不用冠詞，如：

He is still in hospital.他任在住院。

9）單數(shù)名詞相對應(yīng)使用時，不用冠詞，如：

day by day天天 ??little by little漸漸地 ???step by step 逐漸地 ??

all day and all night 整日整夜 from time o time時不時地 ?hand in hand 手拉手

10）as/though引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語從句中，如果前置的是名詞，名詞前不加冠詞。

如：Child as/though she is, she plays the violin perfectly.

盡管是個孩子，但她小提琴拉得很好。

11）有些一人兼多個身份的情況，只在第一個名詞前加冠詞，其他幾個不再加冠詞。

如：A teacher and writer will come to visit our school next Monday.

下周一，一個老師兼作家要來參觀我們學(xué)校。

12）系動詞turn后如有名詞，通常不加冠詞，但名詞前有形容詞修飾時要加冠詞。

如：I hoped to become a pianist, but I turned teacher.

我本想成為一名鋼琴家，可最終成了教師。

13）有些不可數(shù)名詞前盡管有形容詞修飾，也不能使用a/an，如：

??Here is good news for you!報告你一個好消息。

??What good advice you gave me!你提的建議多好??！

14）固定短語：

by bus ?乘坐公共汽車 ???after school 放學(xué)后 ???????????in bed 臥床

at first 首先 ????????????at noon在中午 ???????????????on foot步行

take care of 照顧 ????????in trouble 處在麻煩中 ?????????take part in 參加 ???????

pay attention to ?注意 ????with pleasure 高興地，樂意地 ??at dinner在吃飯
