課堂內(nèi)容提要:

(1)1道小學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)題難30名大學(xué)生
More than 30 college students are stumped by one math question.

(2)張秀鳳原本想好好利用元旦休息三天,卻因?yàn)樾W(xué)四年級(jí)的女兒拿回的一道家庭作業(yè)感到郁悶。
Ms. Zhang Xiufeng was initially expected to have a cozy three days off back at home during the New Year's Day Holiday, only to find herself totally depressed or perplexed with one math homework question brought back by her daughter, a primary school fourth grader.

(3)“一列隊(duì)伍長(zhǎng)100米正在行進(jìn),傳令兵從排尾走到排頭,又從排頭走到排尾,這列隊(duì)伍正好前進(jìn)了100米,已知隊(duì)伍的速度和傳令兵的速度保持不變!問(wèn)傳令兵走了多少米?”
“The ranks marching along are measured at 100 meters long. The courier rushes to the forefront from the rear and then after a short while he does?the other way round. The ranks have just marched ahead for 100 meters thus far. As we know, the running speed of the ranks and that of the courier remain unchanged in the entire course! Now would you please let me know how many meters the courier has totally traveled?”

(4)“我和老公想了一天一夜都沒(méi)能解答出來(lái),于是第二天將題拿給了姐姐讀大學(xué)的兒子做?!笨墒牵憬愕膬鹤淤M(fèi)了九牛二虎之力也未能將題解答出來(lái),就連他身邊的30多位其他大學(xué)生也愛(ài)莫能助。
“My husband and I brooded over the question and?searched our memories for a correct answer, but to no avail. The next day we had no other choice but to turn to the son of my sister for assistance, who is a college student.” However, he failed to have it solved even though he had taken great pains, so even more than 30 students in his university felt regretfully helpless and was put to shame.

(5)布置數(shù)學(xué)題的老師說(shuō):“這道題的難度肯定超出了孩子們所學(xué)的范圍,但是這樣的題卻能培養(yǎng)孩子們的推理能力?!崩蠋煴硎?,主要是希望孩子們能動(dòng)腦筋去思考,體會(huì)思考過(guò)程中的快樂(lè)。
The math teacher said, “This question is really out of the capacity of fourth graders, however, such questions may develop or foster the reasoning ability of the students.” He continues, it is highly hoped that the kids can beat their brains out and collect their thoughts in face of something difficult, so they can get a big kick out of the meditation.
