每年美國(guó)都有一個(gè)盛大的文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)——美國(guó)國(guó)家圖書獎(jiǎng)（National Book Award ），評(píng)選以本土文學(xué)為主的優(yōu)秀圖書。這個(gè)獎(jiǎng)歷史悠久，1950年的時(shí)候就已經(jīng)創(chuàng)立，評(píng)出了大量頂級(jí)作家，中國(guó)讀者耳熟能詳?shù)慕F(xiàn)代美國(guó)文學(xué)大咖如?？思{、馬拉默德、貝婁、羅思、厄普代克、多克托羅、德里洛、麥卡錫、奧茨、弗蘭岑等都獲過(guò)此獎(jiǎng)。?

美國(guó)當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間2016年11月16日晚，2016年度美國(guó)國(guó)家圖書獎(jiǎng)揭曉。斬獲今年最佳非小說(shuō)類獎(jiǎng)的是依布拉·X·肯迪（Ibram X Kendi）的作品《生而被標(biāo)簽》（Stamped from the Beginning），這部作品被稱為美國(guó)反黑人種族主義運(yùn)動(dòng)的“編年史”。
