精算師在國(guó)內(nèi)外都是稀缺人才。據(jù)中國(guó)精算師協(xié)會(huì)的數(shù)據(jù)，截至2009年上半年，取得中國(guó)精算師資格的人數(shù)為141人，準(zhǔn)精算師839人。有數(shù)據(jù)顯示，我國(guó)目前具有北美精算師資格的只有幾十人，準(zhǔn)精算師不過百余人。

看到了？上文中的actuary就是精算師的意思，這個(gè)詞是不是很眼熟？想到了actually對(duì)吧？其實(shí)actuary在拉丁語(yǔ)中意為“經(jīng)營(yíng)”，精算師的工作就是對(duì)可能帶來風(fēng)險(xiǎn)的事件發(fā)生的幾率和后果進(jìn)行評(píng)測(cè)，從而盡量把損失降至最低。

An actuary is a business professional who deals with the financial impact of risk and uncertainty. Actuaries provide expert assessments of financial security systems, with a focus on their complexity, their mathematics, and their mechanisms.

面對(duì)金融系統(tǒng)的種種復(fù)雜機(jī)制，進(jìn)行反復(fù)計(jì)算和確認(rèn)，難怪被稱為“精”算師啊。
