“花木廣洋杯”象棋世博行28日在世博園信息通信館上演，這是繼國(guó)際象棋、圍棋之后，世博園再一次迎來(lái)棋壇高手獻(xiàn)藝。中國(guó)象棋的年輕新星蔣川，上演了盲棋以一對(duì)八的好戲。所謂盲棋，就是棋手不看棋盤(pán)，完全憑腦子里對(duì)前面每一步的記憶來(lái)下棋：

Blindfold chess (also known as sans voir) is a way to play chess, whereby play is conducted without the players having sight of the positions of the pieces. This forces players to maintain a mental model of the positions of the pieces.
盲棋（法語(yǔ)中是sans voir，字面意思：without seeing） 的過(guò)程中棋手不得看棋盤(pán)，所以必須在腦中一一記住棋子的位置。

這里的blindfold chess就是“盲棋”，中國(guó)古代既有仙人下盲棋的傳說(shuō)。這個(gè)確實(shí)是需要非常好的記憶力和邏輯思維。blindfold本意為“蒙住眼睛的”：

I can do it blindfold. 這對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)易如反掌。

不過(guò)，blindfold chess在英語(yǔ)中自然指的是國(guó)際象棋，中國(guó)象棋舊譯作Chinese chess，現(xiàn)在就是直接用拼音Xiangqi來(lái)表示。而圍棋的英語(yǔ)表達(dá)很有意思，是the game of go。
